Who do you admire in snowboarding or outside and why? As a snowboarder, I admire Peetu Piiroinen. He has a good style and he is so motivated to develop his riding all the time. Basically, I admire people who are friendly, happy and enjoy their lives.

If you're pro, when did you decide to “go pro” — and what happened to get you there? ? I have never really decided to become pro. It just happened after my manager offered a deal for me. After my first deal I had more money for traveling and snowboarding became a little more serious for me.

Where have you traveled to lately that you like? I spent the beginning of December in the States and now I'm in northern Finland.

Have you done well in any contests lately that you want to tell us about? ? Not really. The beginning of the season has been a bit hard for me because I had a big injury last year and it's been bothering me. Since last month I have felt better and I can enjoy my riding again.

Anything that not many people know about you that you would like to share? I was born in the countryside and we have 40 race horses at my parents’ home. I have my own horse as well. :)

Encouraging words for beginners? Ride a lot and enjoy your riding with your friends. When you ride with your friends it's easy to learn new tricks, cause there is always a little battle with the boys.
